Power Pack (Diesel) - LPP02D
The power pack comprises of an internal combustion engine directly connected to a hydraulic oil pump and governed to deliver 8 litres/min at 300 bar. The engine pump assembly is mounted on a steel tank. A set of individually suspension mounted pneumatic wheels allows the power unit to be easily manoeuvred by one man on smooth surfaces. A jocky wheel enables the unit to be levelled when operating on uneven surfaces.
The hydraulic tank has a total oil capacity of 65 litres with 45 litres usable capacity. It is fitted with a replaceable suction filter, temp/level gauge, filler/breather, drain plug and an access port to allow cleaning when required.
The colour coded couplings allow safe and easy connection of hoses. The system is protected against peak pressures by a relief valve.
The engine is an air cooled single cylinder 4-stroke diesel engine delivering 4.5kW. Manufactured with a light alloy cylinder head and crankcase, it is fitted with electric and rope start, air cleaner, exhaust muffler and start/stop/throttle control.
The total weight of pump unit including oil is 185kg.
Diesel Pumpset with Hand Held Remote Control Unit - 1 151 318
New to the Tangye range is the hand-held remote control unit for use with the diesel pump unit.
This unit is linked to the pump set by means of a 10 metre control lead which enables the operator freedom of movement and dispenses wit the need for a static control desk.
A bar graph LED is incorporated as a visual pressure indicator.

Control Desk - LPP01
The control desk links the hydraulic pump set to the hydraulic cylinders.
It consists of a fabricated steel frame carrying the hydraulic control valves and all the necessary pipes, hoses and fittings.
The cylinders, 4 or 6 depending on the model, can be independently controlled by the hydraulic valves which are in turn operated manually by the control levers. Each control lever is spring loaded to the 'off' position.
All external connections are made via the colour coded self sealing couplers which are complete with spring closing dust lids. On the side of the desk are two couplers for connecting to the pumpset, and on the front of the desk are pairs of couplers for connection to the hydraulic cylinders.
A pressure gauge indicates the working pressure when operating a cylinder. The desk is also fitted with a pressure filter with replaceable element and the desk console is protected against peak pressures by a relief valve.
Total weight of control desk is 41kg.
Re-Railing Beam - LRR type
The traversing beams provide a runway to allow rolling stock to be traversed horizontally. It is used in assembly with the traversing cylinder, traversing support, sliding carriage and an appropriate lifting cylinder.
Manufactured from light-weight aluminium alloy, they are available in various lengths.
They are fitted with carrying handles, to enable comfortable carrying, which push back within the beam for easy storage.
The holes in the top plate are used to locate the traversing support anchor.
Drilled holes at each end of the vertical webs enable the attachment of fishplates that are used to connect the beams end to end, this allows continuous traverse over long lengths.
Telescopic Cylinders - LRT type
The telescopic cylinders are available in a range of tonnages and strokes. See chart here for specifications.
The two-stage piston design combines an extended stroke with a low closed height. The cylinders are manufactured from high strength aluminium alloy to give a cylinder that is lightweight yet strong enough to cope with the rigorous environment of a rerailing incident. The ram cap is manufactured from heat treated steel to minimise deformation under adverse loading conditions. Special designs available upon request.
All telescopic cylinders are fitted with a load holding valve which ensures the load will not drop in the event of a hose failure, and are protected against peak pressures on the annular side by a relief valve.
Colour coded self sealing couplers with dust caps allow safe and easy connection to hoses.
Every telescopic cylinder is fitted with swing out handles which enable comfortable carrying.
The working pressure of the telescopic cylinder is 300 Bar.
Multistage Cylinder 80T - LRM80
The multi-stage cylinder can lift a load of 80T a total height of 300mm. It incorporates all the features of the telescopic cylinders, i.e., the low height with extended stroke designed to deal with restricted positions.
The cylinder comes complete with inner and outer spacers, location plate, and positioning handle>
The cylinder and spacers are made from high strength aluminium alloy to give components that are light weight yet strong enough to cope with the rigorous environment of a re-railing incident.
The adaptor plate and positioning handle are made from steel and are treated to protect against corrosion.
The cylinder is fitted with a load holding valve which ensures the load will not drop in the even of a hose failure and is protected against peak pressures by a relief valve.

Traversing Cylinder - LRD12
The traversing cylinder is used for moving rolling stock horizontally following a derailment. It is not a lifting cylinder.
The traversing cylinder can be used in conjunction with the re-railing beam and has a top and bottom flange for location in the support anchor. It can also be used as part of the horizontal jacking equipment.
The cylinder is manufactured from high strength aluminium alloy to give a cylinder that is lightweight yet strong enough to cope with the rigorous environment of a re-railing incident.
The ram cap is manufactured from heat-treated steel to minimise deformation under adverse loading conditions.

The traversing cylinder has a 12 tonne push force and a 6 tonne pull force at the maximum working pressure of 300 Bar.

Horizontal Jacking Equipment - LRR08(X)
Each set of this equipment consists of 2 steel rail hooks each attached to a wire rope. the wire ropes are fitted with swagged furrules to locate in a jack support beam. The equipment supplied is shown in diagram above.
In operation the equipment is set up as shown below, using an LRD12 cylinder (not supplied). The equipment acts to push a rail vehicle sideways toward the rail. The distance from the rail can be adjusted between the limits shown by the appropriate ferrule position.
